Davy feels his phone buzz against his leg but ignores it. Mom only got him this phone so she could text him constantly. He doesn’t need to remind her that of course, he remembers he’s taking Auntie Marie her insulin and some of that hard brown bread she likes. He’ll get to it. Here’s Jerome and Stick and a couple of the other guys. Time to find out what went down last night. 

He remembers the sirens getting closer and then cutting off like they do when they hit their destination. He’s sure it wasn’t a dream.
